Apple releases Snow Leopard early

snow-leopard1I walked into the office today and noticed one of my colleagues drooling and staring at his computer screen. All he said was Snow Leopard is being released early this Friday August 28th! Needless to say, he is the only guy in the office with a Macbook Pro and is in love with Steve Jobs. Not really, but you get the picture!

Apple has yet to slip up and continues to draw attention to everything it does. They keep their prices high so you want their products more and more. 14-25 year old’s right now are going to be one huge increase in market share for Apple over the next 4-5 years and here’s why. Every young adult owns a computer, more young people are spending money on electronics and computers than ever before, and Apple is the most innovative brand when it comes to usability and brand association.

The snow leopard is great example of how Apple likes to sometimes slap Microsoft right in the face. Not literally, but wow, $30 for a operating system? That’s unheard of in the Microsoft world! Most operating systems for Microsoft usually start around $180. Apple does  a great job at pricing certain things low while at the same time easily maintaining its leadership at the top brand level in the computing world.

The Mac has out-of-the-box support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, something even Windows PCs don’t have.  Leopard also has rumored millions of small tweaks including some response time technology that makes you ask how fast can it really get! It’s going to be interesting to see what is better - Snow Leopard or Windows 7? Can’t wait to try them both out myself!

Remember, Keep fit and have fun!…
