So What is Google Voice?
If you haven’t heard of Google Voice yet, you soon will. Google has slid under the radar lately with some seriously amazing applications. People are not aware of them yet because Google let’s people talk about their products instead of blowing 100M in advertising. This also buys them time to fix bugs and what not.
So back to Google Voice. What is it? It’s a service that gives you a Google # that you can sync to your mobile phone, work phone, home phone, kids phone, wife’s phone, and you get the picture. It’s one number, and it keeps your life simple.
If that’s not impressive enough for you, here’s the bait - You can Call free within the continental US and to Canada. What? Call free? Yea, that’s what I said, call FREE! Now if your not sold you must not have a pulse but the list of features must go on. It also supports call screening and block calls. If you don’t want to receive calls from someone who is really not making your day, you can simply set their phone number to go directly to Google Voice Mail. Yes Voicemail is free as well.
One great business feature is that you can do conference calls with your Google Voice #, so say goodbye to those long distance charges. This model is obviously more align with Skype than the traditional model but Google is allowing us to communicate with people more freely and more efficiently. As of right now Google Voice is invite only but before long it will be available to the public, so make sure you pick up an account and start saving money for your business.
Remember…keep fit and have fun!
